Random Acts of Kindness

The Most Amazing thing happened the other day while my mom and I were out to lunch. As we were eating/“people watching” something we often do ;) we saw two soldiers sitting at a high top table. They had finished their lunch and we thought we would anonymously send them dessert, we told our waitress and she said with a big grin "I will get it over right away." There were two old women behind us and they had overheard what we had done… about ten minutes later the soldiers were lavished with Huge pieces of Chocolate cake, ice-cream and a Giant cookie. The look on their face was priceless, the waitress came back over and told us that the two old lady’s behind us wanted to pay for their Lunch, as we were discussing it a family to the right of us said they wanted to join in and had beers sent to the table. As the word spread the manager came over to us and said they would give the two men a $25 dollar gift card upon leaving!! I couldn’t believe how a sweet treat turned into a whole slew of things to Honor two Soldiers and show them how truly grateful we are for everything they do!! I can’t even put into words the feeling I had when I left the restaurant, it was So Overwhelming and the two men were certainly humbled, they had HUGE smiles on their faces and you could tell they were looking around to try and see who the “Mystery” tables were!!

*Random Acts of Kindness often create a Chain Reaction, do something kind today.

With a lot of the troops heading home keep your eye out and don’t forget to say Thank you and honor those who fight for your freedom, Not just one day (Veterans Day) but EVERYDAY.
Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances
